If you have a conflict with your assigned mandatory meeting date and/or time that will prevent you from attending, you are required to submit an excuse form through tnAchieves.

Please see below for step-by-step instructions on how to complete the excuse form process:

1. Review our excuse form policy for a list of approved reasons to be excused from your assigned meeting. Your excuse reason must fall within the categories outlined in our policy to be approved to miss your assigned mandatory meeting. If your reason does not fall within the outlined categories, you should make arrangements to attend your assigned mandatory meeting.

2. You are responsible for completing the tnAchieves meeting excuse form through tnAchieves either before you following your assigned mandatory meeting. Failure to meet this requirement, even with a valid reason, may result in the loss of your TN Promise eligibility. Click here to submit the excuse form.

3. After submitting your excuse form, you will receive follow-up communication from tnAchieves via email. This communication will let you know whether your excuse form has been approved and will outline your next steps to meet this requirement.

   • If your excuse form is approved, you will be required to view a mandatory webinar provided by tnAchieves. This webinar will be sent to you via email on February 11, 2025 and you will be required to view the webinar by March 15, 2025 to remain eligible for the scholarship.

If a school district closes for any reason, tnAchieves will reschedule any meeting within that school district to a later date. Should this occur, tnAchieves will notify all affected parties! Students will be expected to attend the rescheduled meeting date.

Students are assigned to a mandatory meeting date, time and location based on the high school listed on the TN Promise application.

If you attend a public high school, in most cases, you will be assigned a meeting at the high school you attend. On the mandatory meeting schedule below, please search for your county, then your high school name to view your meeting details.

If you attend a private or alternative school, please search for the county of your high school and find the “Private/Homeschool” meeting listed on the schedule. This will be your assigned meeting details!

If you attend a homeschool, GED program or virtual school, please search for the county where you live and find the “Private/Homeschool” meeting listed on the schedule. This will be your assigned meeting details!

The best way to know your assigned meeting details is to be sure you are checking your email. We will send you various emails with your meeting details included, so check your email often!
